Pond Small is an Australian band formed in 2008. Their music genre can be described as psychedelic rock, indie rock, and experimental rock.
The band started as an indie side project of Tame Impala's drummer Jay Watson. Their debut album, titled "Pond" was released in 2009, followed by several albums and EPs including "Beard, Wives, Denim" (2012), "Tasmania" (2019) and "Sessions" (2021).
Throughout the years, Pond Small has developed its unique sound characterized by the use of distorted guitars, synths, and playful lyrics that blend together seamlessly to create an enchanting musical landscape.
The band has toured extensively around the world, headlining festivals like Coachella and Sasquatch. Their live performances are renowned for being electrifying and dynamic, involving elaborate light shows and energetic stage presence.
